Winner of the Snowy Truck panel from Quilt Girls from Carried Away Quilting

Well, this couldn't be more timely.  Today is the day I announce the winner of the Snowy Truck quilt panel from the sweet folks at Quilt Girls, and just take a look at the winter wonderland outside my sewing room window.  As we say in Minnesota, "Uff da!"

Sure, freshly fallen snow clinging to the boughs of an evergreen tree is a sight to behold. However, I don't think the pumpkin sitting on my front step is very impressed. He has been completely smothered by a blanket of white fluff!

Let's move on to happier thoughts.  The ...

Quilt panel giveaway winners from Carried Away Quilting

Hello everyone!  It's time to announce the winners of the beautiful Santa Claus and Snowman quilt panels from the kind folks at Quilt Girls! Thank you so much for your enthusiastic entries!  I took all of the comments, copied and pasted them into a spreadsheet, sorted and shuffled them around, and then had my husband holler out two numbers.  My highly scientific method yielded these two winners:

Dorothy M. is the winner of the Snowman panel.
Annette is the winner of the Santa Claus panel.

I will contact each of you via email so we can coordinate sending your ...

Throw quilt featuring Harvest Road's "Nature" panel from Carried Away Quilting

Most of you know how crazy I am about the Harvest Road fabric collection by Lella Boutique. Did you also know that Moda produced a quilt panel with this collection? It is aptly named “Nature” and features oversized sketches of the Harvest Road oak leaves and florals in white against a beautiful sage green backdrop.

The Nature panel measures at 57” x 69” and makes a wonderful throw quilt. I purchased my favorite navy floral from the Harvest Road collection to use for the backing. Isn’t it gorgeous?

I sent the top and backing off to Starlit Quilts for ...

How Would You Quilt It? Gail’s Cats Panel Quilt from Quilted Joy

Every month during our Quilted Joy Clubhouse live meetings, we spend a few minutes looking at how I might quilt a quilt top. These quilt tops are not my own. Instead they came from unquilted tops shared in the Quilted Joy Clubhouse Facebook Group. (Click here to join in the fun over in the group!)

For the September 2019 livestreamed meeting, I was excited to design a quilting plan for a panel quilt shared by Gail. Watch the video below that begins at our How Would You Quilt it segment. You can also click here to watch the meeting from ...
